Therapy

Outpatient Mental Health Services include diagnostic assessments, individual, couples, group & family therapy.  Julie is trained and practicing in good standing with the Iowa Bureau of Professional Licensure, as well as the Government of the Virgin Islands Department of Licensing and Consumer Affairs.  Additional training & certifications include: Certified Psychedelic-Assisted Therapy Provider (2023), Certified Integrative Mental Health Professional (CIMHP) Training Course: Nutritional and Integrative Medicine for Mental Health Professionals (2025), Complete IFS Therapy Immersion: Integrating the Internal Family (2023), Certificate Course in Emotionally Focused Therapy with Sue Johnson: Attachment-Based Interventions for Couples in Crisis (2019), Bringing Trauma-Informed Yoga into Mental Health Clinical Practice (2019), PCIT and PCIT Trainer (2017). Therapy services are provided in office or via Tele-health. Services are billed through insurance coverage or offered through private pay.

I believe that each person has within them, a profound ability to heal & change. I strive to create & hold space for clients to explore, connect, & listen to the answers that are already present. I believe that dis-ease often arises when living a path that does not support the best versions of ourselves. Many old belief patterns can keep us stuck & can continue to feed the fears that block us from forward movement along the healing journey. I believe that every therapeutic session should be individualized to best meet the need of each person’s unique challenges. This is why I offer a holistic approach to therapy that utilizes both traditional and innovative approaches to mental health treatment. Along with talk therapy, I utilize yoga, breathwork and somatic practices, meditation and mindfulness, and sound healing.
